GENgam
Neither did we forget the sunrise,
It won’t be easy to forget you,
Trust us when we say,
We will bring u back.
This year Design fest will be host by PMM and looking into
the recent development of Malaysians Polytechnics PolyGreen initiative,
decisions was made to incorporate this idea truly into this event.
The idea GENgam is combination of 2 Malay words of ‘Generasi + Gam’
It looks into the important of new generation to take steps
to make changes that matters, to take initiative that matters, to go to places
that matters & most important to think ideas that matters.
In order to create functional space we take space from our surrounding, little do we worry of the effects it has on the cyclical order of life. It’s not our problems thinking leads to destruction, loss & damage to things that can’t be replaced, once gone it’s gone forever.
Generally Gam is used to stick things together, but in our
context gam is just not a materials but it’s a tool to regain what is loss
& recover which is destroyed. It a very gigantic task to stick back all the
things which, we should look to wonder the greatness of creator but we end up
claiming its mine. As flower only blooms when untouched once pluck its loss
forever.
To all Malaysian Polytechnics hear our call, to architecture
schools hear our call, to lecturer & students hear our call, let’s take
this small steps, let’s take this narrow path, let’s take this never ending
task to gam ourselves back to things that matters, so that our generation will
remember this day when we all stood together to create GENgam.
